Where are you located?

- We are based in Hartford County, Connecticut.

Do you photograph events?

- Yes. We photograph an array of private events including baby showers, sweet 15/16s, adult, children birthday parties & anniversaries.

Do you travel? If so, do we have to pay for travel accommodations?

- Yes, we travel within the US & abroad for weddings, events, portraiture & vacation photography services. We do ask our clients to pay for travel outside of Hartford County, CT. A custom package will be created to fit your photography needs. 

Do you offer Videography/Cinematography services?

- Yes cinematography is a service that we provide at special request for interview style, short documentary, vlog, commercial cinema, Reel & TikTok content as well. Please send us detailed information for a custom quote .

How long have you been shooting?

- Norman has been shooting since 2012.

How far should we book in advance?

- We recommend booking as soon as you are sure Norman Oates Photography is perfect for your wedding or portraiture needs.

How long does it take to receive my portraits back?

- Photoshoot turn around is up to 10 days after you make your final image selections & cover all balances. Wedding photo turn around is up to 8 weeks from wedding date for full galleries.

Will I receive a preview/teaser wedding gallery?

- Weddings packages include a preview gallery of portrait style retouched images for couples to share on social platforms and create their thank you cards within two weeks of their wedding date.

How long does it take to receive my wedding album?

- Wedding albums deliver within 4-6 weeks of order.

Are event & wedding images edited the same as your portrait work?

- Event & Wedding photography images are edited for color correction, proper exposure & proper crop of all images. Portrait style retouching ie: skin softening, blemish/stain removal, body adjustments etc. Are offered to client at a per image rate.
